Designer Book Covers

I was tasked with choosing three famous graphic designers or designers that I was heavily inspired by. And once choosing them, create a series of book covers that was consistent, but still held true to every single on of them. My choices ended up being Andy Gilmore, David Carson, and Erik Nitsche.

I chose Andy Gilmore because he has an incredible grasp on geometric composition as well as an astounding knowledge of color. His work is beautiful, detailed, and incredibly inspiring to me. He is easily my favorite designer.

David Carson was chosen because of his ridiculous (in a good way) typographic work. I adore excellent typographic work and I enjoy the idea of pushing boundaries. David Carson combines those two ideas and creates amazing work.

Erik Nitsche was actually a recent discovery of mine. I still don't know much about him, but his work for General Dynamics was wonderful. He created intricate geometric work before anything digital existed. That's what so great about him.

So for this project, I decided to create a fairly simple geometric composition that would heavily showcase the artists work, as well as get the information required across easily.
